Design Strategy and Blueprint
After understanding the business objectives and cross-cultural user behavior aspects, the first step was to formulate the strategy and come-up with a level 0 Blueprint of the E-commerce Channel for Netbooks. In Phase 1, the scope was restricted to just Netbooks but later the entire Web structure needed to accomodate other similar small PC gadgets.

Visual Designs
After finalizing the structure and the layout schemes, the next step was to pick-up the relevant look and feel to provide a comfortable experience and a good first connect with the Japanese users. Various color schemes were explored and discussed and one finalized which was taken ahead. All the visual screens were then created according to exact color and visual specifications of AOL Asia-Pacific Properties. Few samples of the visual design are as follows:
